Back in the mid west there are fast food restaurants that specialize in the Runza or cabbage burgers. They are cabbage, onions, and seasonings with some hamburger surrounded with a bread crust and then baked to a nice golden brown. My Aunt married a man that was of Russian decent and she learned to make these from his family. They soon became a favorite with our family. She would make these for just about every family gathering. She is gone now but the memories and the recipes lives on. Do you have a favorite family recipe that has been handed down?

That is really interesting. I never heard of those before. I will ask my mom if she knows anything about them. We used to have pigs in a blanket made with cabbage leaves stuffed with a hamburger rice filling. They were declicious.

I have eaten those too with tomato sauce over them. They were very good. Some people make hot dogs wrapped in those tube croissants and call them pigs in a blanket too.
