Wow! What a determined woman! How inspiring! At 41, to win the women's 100-meter freestyle and get her spot on the Olympic team! And after surgery last November "to fix a bone spur that was digging into her rotator cuff. Still recovering from that operation, she had knee surgery in mid-January to remove another persistent ache." She is what the Olympic spirit is all about! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/olympics/2008/07/04/torres.swimming.trials.ap/index.html?cnn=yes

Hello estherlou. I think that it is really great of her to take part in the Olympics at the age of forty one, which really shows what the Olympic spirit is, especially under the condition that she had her knee surgery. She is a good model to us.

Wow! I know I'm not too up-to-date with all the countries and their Beijing teams but I can't believe I've never heard about this until now! That really is amazing. I bet her kids are proud!
