Unless you live on government land, in a tent (that had to purchased or stolen), hunting and fishing, living off the land, money is an essential part of life. I am not a hermit and since I live in a house, it is absolutely one of the most important parts of life. You can't live on love, but that is important. The question is how important is it? How do you define comfort? Some of us just hope to pay our bills, while others feel they need more affluent accomodations.

HI, Money answers all things,if you want to know if i'm right, just pretend for few days as if you have none and you'll see how many friends will desert you. Tell your wife or husband you don't have anymore, you might be so lucky to receive just a slap and not a sepration. The love of it is the evil in it.

In the long run, you can lose all of your money, you can lose your career and all of your possessions but the people you love will still be standing by your side. Problems with family will happen but, hopefully, with time, talk and understanding these problems can be worked out. And remember, "family" is a word and does not mean just those who have the same blood as you or who married you or your relatives. I have 4 children who I've given birth to but I also have 2 step children and 3 others who are not related by blood but who are my children just the same. They are all grown now so I also have many grandchildren who, technically, are not my family but I love them all just as much.

I think that although we all like to think that money is not important, the sad reality is that it is an essential part of life. Thats not to say that you cant be happy without money, but in order to truely be happy without money I think you have to never have had it ie like secluded tribes who are not westernised. To live in a society where money is required makes life very hard. We dont need to be rich - afterall some of the richest people might not necessarily be happy - but to be comfortable does solve some problems in life. We will always argue with loved ones about money but if we truely love them it wont get between you.
