What's the best processor you can get for a laptop?

I was looking at a dual core processor,
AMD CPU Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 5400+ 2.8GHz L2-1MB 65W Socket AM
[ADO5400DOBOX]
and I was wondering if that's fairly top of the line for a laptop & if it's a reasonable price for $129.78?
I'm trying to get one so that I can prepare for DiabloIII & I wanted to get some ideas on if that's a good idea for a processor or not? If you can find a better one for me please let me know! =O

wow, laptop is so cheap at your country. If I want to buy a good one, I should cost about $1000 here. Do you have the information about the laptop about it's price on any website. I 'd like to see, wow really very cheap. That's really good to see your post about laptop. I still don't want to buy one, because it's with such a high price.

Are you saying that you already own the laptop and want to upgrade the processor? If you want to upgrade the processor in an existing laptop you have to be very sure you are getting a compatible processor with the correct socket. If you are buying a new laptop the fastest processors currently available are the Intel Core 2 Quad processors followed by the Core 2 Duo. The AMD Athlon X2 processors are a close third. For gaming though the video card is what you should be looking at. That's much more important and any laptop with a good video card is going to have a good processor as well.

Yeah, I already own the laptop and that's what i'm considering. Everyone i've asked has told me both ways that I probably can't upgrade it much more then it already is other then the RAM and i've also been told that I can upgrade a lot more. It's all very confusing. I've seen the Quad-Core processors and it just seems like overkill to me. I think if I get a dual-core for my laptop it should be fine. Yeah, but like you said. If I get a video card, i'll need a good processor as well. The processor is more beneficial to me though at the moment, the graphics card I wont need to decide upon until the game actually even comes out lol, =P. I need the processor for other things.. which I guess would have been helpful to mention, eh?
Anyways, thanks for the information!
