Dear friends, it has been a long while since I've visited my lot. Some of you may remember I had several surgeries because of breast cancer. I thank God that He saw to it that I would end up being a breast cancer survivor. It was a two year journey that had bumps in the road along the way but I was fortunate that those bumps were met head on with a solution. Sadly, I lost a couple of friends along the way because of this disease. I'll never know why but in both cases they elected to have the breast removed where the cancer was found and they decided not to have breast reconstruction. It's different for everyone and I don't regret my decision to remove both breasts even though the cancer was only in my right breast. Why? Because I had the option to have breast reconstruction. The very last part of the reconstruction was done in 3'08. I feel great, I'm told I look great and I'm back at work. This whole experience has taught me to appreciate life by not taking it for granted. Life is a precious gift from God and He is worthy to be praised for giving me life. I love being a Breast Cancer Survivor and I Love Life. I am extending a hearfelt thanks to all the folks who kept me in thought and prayer. I plan to be around here on MyLot more often so I can make some money as well as converse with friends and meet new friends. If anyone here knows someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, please let them know I'll be happy to answer any questions. Do you know of anyone who is a cancer survivor?

I am so glad everything worked out well for you, sometimes it takes something like this to make us appreciate life, I guess we are all guilty at times for taking the life we have for granted, but it does wake us up when we lose someone or come close to losing that life ourselves, I am so happy for your result...

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to my discussion. I really appreciate it. I hope to be the source that will remind others of just how precious the gift of life is. I think that sometimes things that happen in life is a wake up call.
