Do you remember your first schoolteacher? Mine was Miss Greenwood. She looked like my Auntie Josie who lived quite a way from us so I didnt see her very often - which made her my favourite aunt. She was only at the school for my first term but she made starting school a positive experience.

I can't quite remember what my first teacher's name was originally, but she married David Shephard and became Mrs. Shephard. I remember mostly my favourite teacher, Mr. Barker. He was a lovely man, and everybody got on well with him. Brightest Blessings.

It's funny how you remember the good ones and the bad ones, huh? The average ones you never recall.

I dont think I could pick out a favourite. Mr Prigg was probably the most interesting. He was a great story teller.

My first teacher was Mrs. Rhodes and I don't remember too much about her except I think she was mean. I got a spanking in her class because I cried for another sheet of copy paper, we were making snowflake cut-outs and I messed mine up and she wouldn't let me have another sheet of paper. So I cried and she sent me to the principal office and then she spanked me. Yes, over a sheet of paper! The teachers got better after that so I wasn't scarred for life, LOL!

That was definitely mean! She wouldn't get away with it now. She should've just given you the second sheet of paper and helped you to get it right.

Mrs. KARUNUNGAN... my pre-school teacher. VERY PATIENT AND A LOVING teacher. That's for sure. I do owe a lot from her. Because I will not be here if I didn't have a nice foundation that she had given me. God bless her and her career too.

Ha, I think most of us feel that our teachers are too strict when we are young because we dont want to be told what to do!

There were no preschools in my area at that time. I lived in a small village and had to travel to the next village for school. I was so small that older boys used to carry me up the steps of the school bus!

Yes I do and with such fond memories. Her name was Miss Cameron and I use to like the way she dressed. She had two daughter and I envied them for having Mith Cameron (that’s how I am told I used to call her ) every single day for themselves. She was close friends with my grandmother who I was living with at the time and my grandmother regularly checked up on me and was told wonderful things about me ,that made me smile ,since I wanted so bad to make both those ladies so proud. My grandmother use to tell me later that I would always come home with stories about Miss Cameron ,it seemed I recorded everything she did.
