The devil is real. His name is Lucifer and he was an angel, but he tried to be God and fell from grace into Hell, where he tries to be like God and gets people to fall from grace as well.

I understand that much. But doesn't the bible say that he was the most beautiful of the angels? So why does the church now say he is ugly, red and has horns?

The devil is real. There are so many myths and misconceptions about Lucifer/Satan that it is very unusual to hear anything that even remotely rings of the truth. The fact is, very few people know what the Bible says about him, and have relied on Hollywood or on popular novels for their information; yikes! So...what do you really know about Satan the Devil? Do you know that he is truly your enemy and is actively working against you for his own aims?

I believe that he has been made to sound horrible, mean, and would stop at nothing to make you do bad things. I have also heard that he does not exist and its only a way of the church to scare people so they can become devoted to Jesus. Has anyone heard this before? What is false, what is true? Anyone know?

Most likely to be men's creations just like the rest.
there is no scientific evidence to prove that god really exists and there's no way to know for sure if the devil is real. Men is capable of being evil, but Satan doesn't have anything to do with it. And if Satan is real, I don't see why he is bad when his job is to punish bad people in hell.
