How Do You Like To Be Remembered?

Atty. Richard W. Sison Building - City SWAT Team's Building named after Atty. Richard W. Sison

For almost a year after being left unoccupied, the city's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team finally housed their own building. The city legislative body passed the resolution to name the said building after the city's legal consultant, Atty. Richard W. Sison, who was slained in May. If a structure, say a building, bridge or a street, will be named after you, when you die, would you feel honored? (should I be asking this? lol) If you are to chose, how would you like to be remembered, by street name? a bridge? building? or what? How do you feel being remembered by the ones we left behind?

I don't want to be remembered by any material thing..I want to be simply remembered through my principles of life which shall create a change. It is said that you must be the change you want to see in the world. In the same way, I want my principles to bring a change in the world. And thus, to be remembered through my principles.

Whew! What a topic. If a building or structure will be named after me, I would feel so honored. But if ever, I would like to be remembered by a street name. I wanted the street that I grew up with to be named after me. So that my childhood friends and my relatives would always remember me. But to be real. I want my friends and family to remember me in their own way. I want them to remember me during occasions which I am always assigned to cook the foods. Well, I'm sure when that time comes, they will miss the foods that I have been preparing them. Have a nice day best. HUGZ!

I just want to remembered simply as a person who walked right with God. No need for city or bridge or building or anything to be named after me for after all those are just matters of this world. What matters most is what lies beyond and hence I want to be remembered for nothing else but a person who walked right with God.

I would feel very honored if, after I die (or hopefully before), a building is named after me. I hope it's a library or a community center because I feel both of those contributes to the well-being of any community.

Hello neildc, I really don't think I would like to be remember by a street or buildings, just a park bench will do me fine, when anyone sits down on it I'll have company. Tamarafireheart.

I wouldn't want anything named after me, but I'd want to be remembered by the things people say about me. Especially my kids. "Remember when Mom used to help us decorate Easter eggs?" Things like that. Just people sharing their happy memories of time we spent together.
