The Dark Knight Censorship

What does everyone think of the possibility that parts of the new Dark Knight film involving Heath Ledger are possibly going to be censored despite being essential to the story because they show his character the Joker in a bodybag? Is it right to censor something like this just because of what happened after he finished filming the part or is it overly sensitive?

I don't think it is essential to censor or edit out parts of the scene just because of what happened to Heath in real life. Basically Heath is an actor, he portrays different characters in different movies. So this time he portrays the Joker, a psycho man. But the thing is this is a movie and not Heath Ledger's life. What we see in the movie is Heath portraying the Joker and not he himself, so its a different thing and cannot be associated to real life. So I don't see anything wrong about the Joker being on a bodybag. They should let the world see how good Heath Ledger as an actor.

I think it depends on what his family think. unless they'd rather it's not shown, then I think it should be respected that he was comfortable acting such a scene and it should be included.

Thats what I would have said but it seems like his family understand that this was his job and he threw himself passionately into it. It seems to me that the calls for it are coming from people who would be unlikely to see the film anyway.
