I have two. My male is huge, 16 lbs. And the tinyest meow at times. He is quiet and sleeps a lot. Now the female, she is a whiner. All day long she whines and chirps. She never meows.

I have a big 16 lb male that meows so softly. And a 10 lb tortie female that constantly chirps gurgles and gives love.

Our cat does meow, but not that often. most of the time he does the mouth motion for it, but it is silent. It is weird. For the longest time after we got him we thought that he couldn't meow. Turns out he can, just don't that often.

My first cat would open her mouth like she was going to meow and nothing would come out! The only time she was voicy was when she got tangled up in our feet.
Itty, our kitten will chirp and meow all the way down the hall when she is thinking she is going to get a can of food.
Benta will meow quite loudly when she wants to go outside!

I had a cat who not only meowed, she talked in English! She was my boyfriend's cat. When she came to me she could say "Mi" for "hi". She could say my name "ammreeeaa" Andrea, and ooh aay" for "Ok". One day I was grading some papers with a friend. My cat got interested in the cord and tipped the lamp off the table accidently. I picked up the unbroken lamp and looked over at her. She had her head in her paws and said "morry" "sorry" I was astonished! And you wouldn't believe me accept for the fact that I had my friend as a witness. Later that night when I ask "where are you?" she said "mright here" "right here!" Now that is amazing! I love my fovever friend Mrs Gato Who has since crossed over...
