I like the Sargeant's Flea Shampoos? But frankly..fleas and ticks HATE the regular lflavour of Listerine. The also can't stand lemon juice rubbed on the fur.

Maybe I should pour some Listerine on one of my dogs. He gets ticks no matter what you put on him. He has a flea and tick collar on him, Frontline Plus, and some Sergent's spray and he still manages to find the little buggers.

well there are products available in market that can completely remove these silly flees and ticks. it depends on type of coat of dog u own. for eg if thats a boxer you can use anti tick/flrr powder. or if its dense coat egstarting from labrador u can use shampoo or dog collars(best). or some drops are also available in market. in india that drops cost about 1800bucks and in us it will be 1800/40$

A topical flea and tick treatment is a spot-on product, such as bioSpot SPOT ON for Dogs, or K9 Advantix for Dogs, that is applied to the skin between the shoulders. These monthly products fight ticks and fleas for at least 30 days. For maximum protection, both bioSpot SPOT ON and Frontline Plus contain an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), an ingredient that works to prevent flea eggs and larvae from developing. K9 Advantix for Dogs is water-resistant, which makes them ideal for dogs that swim or are bathed frequently.

First, ticks love snug, dark areas. So, in the house, you need to seal up all of your baseboard, remove and check all of your electrical outlets and light switches. These are areas that ticks like to hide. Also, carefully check curtains and curtain rods. I have seen them hide in there too. Once you seal these areas, the inside should be handled. On the outside, look for any and all low hanging bushes, trees, and shrubs. Make sure that they are all cut up at least 6 inches above the soil. Then, make sure that you have cleaned up all yard debris. Personally, I think you should have it professionally treated if you are completely over run. However, if you feel that you need to handle it on your own, purchase a product called Demon WP. This is fairly expensive ($15 for a 1 gallon concentrate) but it works wonders. Follow the instructions carefully! Make sure that you treat in the areas on the outside under the trees, bushes, and shrubs. Good luck to you!

My favorite is Frontline. It removes both fleas and ticks. Not only that but it stays on for 30 days. All you need to do is put the small liquid on the back of the neck and let dry. The best part about it, your dog can go into the water and it still doesnt come off. You do know with flea infestation, it does get into the house and well i dont know what is good for the house. Maybe an exterminator can help or i seen some one comment on a household product. I love frontline. It runs for about $37 bucks but then again they go by weight or size. I get it for my mini pin and cats.
