How to deal with your Mother-in-law?

I know it's not easy dealing with your Mother-in-law, but may I ask, do you need to do something to please her?

I don't try to please her. I will only be myself around her. I have done this before, and it has gotten me no where.. She was nice about me pleasing her.. But she still would be cruel to me no matter what.

I understand. Most of the time, I really hate her, the way she talks, she never mind if she's hurting me or not. She's not even considering my situation (being pregnant).
