Heather or Brenda? If you were the Highlander who would you have preferred?

The saddest scene in the film is when Queen are singing "Who Wants To Live Forever?" and the Highlander McLeod's wife Heather ages and dies. But then a couple of centuries later he wants to marry Brenda, who let's face it, is not a patch on Heather. Am I wrong?
