Hi,dear friend,
I like these kind of channels so much as we don't need to pay any money when we are learning something really useful..;-)
Most of the time I like to watch the channels which can teach some cooking ..more than often I will write down the stuffs and the amount of the seasonings for the dishes..
I 'd like the ffutness channel as well ..when I see the host dancing on the TV ,I will also dancing with them in my home ....

Good! Dance away your time with the host and also have fun learning something and not having to pay for a class for it. Take care

I like FoodNetwork as it shows how to prepare many different types and styles of food. Plus, I've learned so much about food preparation, different foods, and selecting fresh produce from watching the FoodNetwork.
I like to watch DIY also, even though we don't do very many of those types of things anymore without professional guidance, that is.
We do love gardening and my husband has built several garden items of interest and used garden layouts we saw on the TV.
I didn't know there was a Fitness Channel! Hmm, I wonder if we've got that one...

Sounds like you watch what I watch, but not the fitness channel yet. My brother gets it on cable and we get it on dish, so you might be able to get it.
I like it because there is something for everyone. Yoga, dance, circuit training, outdoor workouts, aerobics, sometimes there is a cooking for fitness. I watched one show that used pureed sauces without grease. Every once in awhile their lineup changes. They used to have a combination cooking and exercise show, you would start the food, let it simmer, exercise, check on it, stir or add something to it, exercise some more and then sit down to a meal at the end with them. One guy was supposed to be on a diet with the rest of us. There is a guy who is really, really good with spices and all kinds of things, plus his body was all muscles and just gorgeous.

Well, I would like to see a couple of those shows you mentioned on the Fitness Channel. Especially the one you mentioned where you cook something and simmer it while you are exercising! Fantastic idea for a show!
Anyhoo, I gotta check this out. We may have this Fitness Channel, and I don't even know it!
Thanks and take care.

Travel channels are fun too, but not as much fun as they once were when I used to imagine going, now I don't because of the economics and the people that really, really hate Americans in this world.

Yes I love watching those type of shows. What I really love is when I actually try something out from one of them and it works for me. Like a few weeks ago I did this dish that I saw done on a cooking show and the kids loved it. I thought it was so cool that I did one of the things I saw. Usually I watch and never even think of doing any of the things cause I don't have the tools or stuff to do it. But when they do the easy stuff then I love it.

Yes, I know what you mean, usually I don't have the stuff or I think it's too hard, but once in a great while, there is something I can do and it is soooo cool!

Sometimes I do but I have to be in the mood for that particular channel or network. I like HGTV and the Food network for that. I dont think I get DIY. Informative tv channels are pretty good though. Even travel channel and PBS can help you learn something new and can teach you how to do certain things.

Yes, I do. I just need to have the patience in understanding it. I also need to have the patience too. And the time. I like to learn about new things. I was watching a show Saturday, that showed how you can make hand bags out of sweat shirts, this was very neat. I liked it, and they all turned out very unique and pretty.
