i tend to do this... i tend to make sleeping as a passtime... especially when i have problems and i just want to think it through, i ended up sleeping on it... i don't want to think of my problems so i just go to sleep...
obviously, the problems didn't go away when i woke up... its still there...
now, i feel that i lack sleeping.. with work and internet marketing, i find sleeping a necessity more than a passtime...
hopefully, i do get some more.. hehehe!

hello, sleeping is not my passtime. I rather go shopping read a good book, work in my garden,or just a movie. If I would sleep to much I couldnt sleep when its time to go to bed. I rather keep active I have more engery that way.

Hello, mayank!Sleeping is not a pastime, rather you say it is a biological necessity. An adult human has the biological need to sleep at best eight hours.sleep is a metabolic regulator and sleep disorders effect the metabolism.so you must sleep as per the requirement.excess sleep also effects our health.so you must sleep maximum eight hours not more or less. But elderly people require maximum five hours of good sleep.I am a seventy years old man and i sleep six hours on regular basis.thanx.

I think the older we get the less we sleep. I worked in a nursing home for many years and older people do not sleep much. They take cat naps. Not many sleep the whole night though unless they have had a sleeping pill. They seem to be up and down all night. I sleep less the older I get to. If you are sleeping more then 8 hours that could be a problem maybe depression. I would get that checked out. @snowy22315 (208846)

I think sleeping too much can waste alot of time. My son seems like he is sleeping his life away. I guess he is just bored and depressed. Sleeping in once in awhile can be relaxing, but I dont like to make a habit of it. I want to make money.
