no-kill facilities

help, the animal control gal here wants to open a no-kill facility or at least start moving towards promoting life instead of just always having to resort to the cities codes of having to euthanize...i told her i'd get on mylot to see what i could find out...i told her everyone here is so helpful, espically the animal lovers...any suggestions...for donations, how to obtain, grants, gosh anything to help her maintain her facility and change it around from having not enough support to turn things around to something more beautiful and positive to refer to and talk about,,,,help please...

She should contact the Humane Society and ask them for information on ways to raise money. If she goes to one of the search engines on the web and types in her state followed by Humane Society, she will find the local chapters. I know that there are some no-kill county shelters but I have no idea what state any of them are located in so I can't direct you there. Good luck.

so what youre saying is that the no-kill shelters are ran by the counties...i have some time i'll have to try to get online about that, i don't get alot of time on the computer, and she is elderly, she doesn't at all, so i thought i'd lend a helping hand and reach out here at mylot, ya know , plant the seed, and hopefully it will grow...so any others out there that have any info ,,,please...and thankyou ahead of time....and thankyou spalladino...finally one has answered...maybe there is hope :) yet.
