I was not here mylotting the last week of June because of lipoma removal (you can check my photo of lipoma).I've had it removed twice but it came back and much bigger. It's been a hindrance for me when i move, reaching out something above head, sleeping on my right side.Just imagine where my bra strap is with this big lump on my shoulder. My dress/shirt/blouse would slide down to my shoulder exposing the lipoma, looks awful. So now, finally we had it removed and looks like the doctor really did it well though i have 3 inches long scar on my shoulder.I hope it would never come back.

misty I feel for you as I have a sebeaceous cyst in the middle] of my upper back right next to edge of bra. I went once tohave it removed and the darned thing disappeared. then it came backand was bigger than ever. twice the thing got infected. they refused to takeit out then, so now I still have it. lol. I am glad your doctor did a good job .hopefully your lipoma will not return this time.

With it being that size and location, I'm glad you got it removed! I know that my brother had one on his leg, and it caused a good bit of trouble for him. The doctor removed it before it could get too big. I can't imagine what it would be like having one in your location.

Yes i am relieved.During the time i had it I get so conscious and check every now and then if it's showing from my clothes.Even friends often would notice it and ask why, when and how i get it or remove it.So tiring to answer them i start thinking of recording my answers to their questions, lol. But glad i'm out of it.Thanks!

Good Day misty99! I really hope that the doctor had finally removed that big lump on your shoulder. From the picture I could imagine the dilemma that you were explaining and the hindrances of having it. Well I hope that you will finally have a normal life and your bra strap will finally be seated at the proper place (joke only). I really do hope that it will not returned anymore.

That's a big scar! I hope it stays gone and I hope your recovery is fast. I don't blame you for getting it removed. It looks huge! That must have been terribly inconvenient and uncomfortable, and it was in a terrible spot.

I have lipomas just below both of my knees. The one on the left leg is almost the size of a baseball and the one on the right is almost as big. They have been there for years but more noticeable in the last 2-3 years. Did your insurance cover the removal of the lipoma if you don't mind me asking? My doctor said that I would have to pay for removal myself because they do not pose a threat to my health and they do not cause me to be handicapped in any way. I am ashamed and embarrassed by them and haven't shown my legs in many, many years and they are one of the reasons why. I feel handicapped sometimes because of my disgust of my own legs.
