My Mylot buddy Maddysmommy sent me this book to read. It is absolutely incredible. I know that most readers on Mylot have read it already, but I just have to share it to make sure everyone who is interested reads it.
It hits me close to home because of my mental illness. I do not want to give away the story, but this is based on truth and one of the grossest miscarriages of justice I have ever heard of. And to think that this kind of thing could happen in my time is very frightening.
Recently, I had an arguement with two of my friends. They were saying that the law states "Guilty until proven innocent." I was trying to tell them that no it is, "Innocent until proven guilty." At this point, I am willing to say that they were right and I was wrong. Because actions definitely speak louder than words. A must read for every American and everyone else also.

John Grisham is definitely a prolific author and some of his works are really interesting. I will read this book if I get a chance. I have something I am reading now, but I will be looking for books to read soon.

I have read this book and I can tell you I was pretty PO'ed by what happened to that man, the man who was his friend and anyone related to any of them. And the law should never even be questioned if it is guilty until proven innocent...because that introduces the fact that circumstantial evidence can be taken into consideration for a conviction.
But I am glad I read the book. And not just watched a movie inspired by a real life incident...it hit home by reading about this real man's life.
