Bad sun burn? ice water compresses for the first six to ten hours often help.Aspirin, too can be valuable,it relieves pain and combats prostaglandins(natural,hormone-like substances)that cause inflammation. Have a sensitive skin? had a sun burn recently?

Living in the subtropics, sun problems are just an everyday thing. The most effective fix for sever sunburn is a bath in white vinegar, followed by slathering on the goo that's inside the leaves of aloe plants. They sell aloe gel and aloe juice, and they do work, but not as well as the gel you get fresh from the plant. All this must be followed by intensive moisturizing until there's no sign of the sunburn left. Remember, those sunburns will bite you again, HARD, when you're older. Avoid them if at all possible!

A few weeks ago I read that you need the sunlight to get your skin to produce vitamine D3 which is supposed to prevent cancer and heart attacks. In 15 minutes you can get enough sun to produce your daily vitamines after 15 minutes use a sunblock.

Good point, but the sunblock should be on the whole time. The benefits still come through.

Whenever you get burned eve sun your skin keeps burning.Keeping it cool works really good.I also have aloa vera plants and put that on the burn.I find that the fresh plant works great for the pain from burns. The best way to prevent sunburns is to take B complex vitamins and 50 units of Paba for 10 days before exposure to the sun.
