its my first time, i adopt a persian cat with age 2.5 months. he is black tabby persian cat and really cute also playfull. depend on some articles that i read, persian cats or exotic cats needs more treatment and caring than domestic cat due their immune body system. what do you think and whats your experience about having persian or exotic cats? somehow, persian or exotic cats honestly more cute and softly than domestic cat, in my opinion

I had a persian cat some years ago, he was unwanted and I adopted him. I can tell you now that these cats require a lot of time and attention. They also are well known for going to the toilet in the wrong place and this was a nightmare we had with ours, he would go for so long in his toilet but then he would just do it anywhere. I had young children at this point and no matter what I tried, I could not get him to do it in his box 100%. Also the care of his fur took up so much time and in the end I had to let him go, upon taking him to a home especially for persians we also found out that persians have a history of kidney failure and claims one in three of them die at a young age especially if their diet is not looked after carefully. They told me that a persian needs to be seen by a vet at least once every six months for constant checks and I did not know any of this and felt really bad about it because I realised that I knew nothing about this breed of cat.

so far he is well toilet trained so i don't have problem about toilet although he is just 2.5 months. and i am sorry about your persian cat dear, where is she right now? adopt by others? you are right that persian cat needs more attention and caring due to climate condition, temperature and lots more. at least we should re-vaccine once in a year

It's true, Persian cats needs more treatment than exotic cats. Why ? Because Persian cats have this long hair, that need to be brushed everyday, otherwise the fur will be curly and that's not good. Also the eye of persian cats, it has more water than exotic cats I guess.
