Would you name your child after a day of the week?

I just read that Nicole Kidman has called her daughter Sunday Rose. I love the name Rose, but find Sunday an unusual choice, especially as she was born on a Monday, (maybe it was expected to be Sunday?). Or maybe they wanted to use Sunday as it's the Christian sabbath? Did they choose the weekday idea to be original and perhaps start a new Hollywood trend? - remember Gwyneth Paltrow called her daughter Apple, and no doubt there were lots of Pears, Plums and Oranges born shortly afterwards! The only other example I can think of where a child was named after a day was Wednesday Adams in the Adams Family. Do you like this naming convention? Would you call a child after a day of the week?

I think Sunday is Pretty. But I don't know about Wednesday. Taht is just a little weird. Now apple is just way off. That is crazy.

That's interesting that you like Sunday but not Wednesday! I find the whole weekday thing an unusual thing to do, but that's just me! Lol! Thanks for answering.

No, I would not. I would not find it attractive. But it does sound unique, but just not for my child. No disrespect..

That's fair enough. I don't think I would either; I can't really think of them as baby names! But people have different tastes in these things! Thanks for your answer. :0)
