"How come we choose from just two people to run for president and over fifty for Miss America ?"

because they represents different parties, or points of view,
I do believe you have independents as well sometimes, but miss america only represent themselves,

I think we choose seriously over a president candidate because they will run the country for i guess 8 years or i don't know. For Ms. America because in a pageant we choose what is our favorite , who are physically beautiful, talented and smart, and sometimes those who became our classmate, who came from our city. Presidency is a serious matter because they have a lot of problems to be solve for the country and lots of mouth to be feed in.
