Four keys to a successful relationship with your own in-laws
1.Stand by your mate.(They may realize that if their child loves you, perhaps they should too.)
2.Watch out for strings.(Unhook yourself financially, beware of relying on Mum & Dad for regular child care..!)
3.Be a friend.(Spend time with your in-laws and take interest inn their work, hobbies, ideas and experiences)
4.Speak up!(If your in-laws behavior conflicts with your values or beliefs)
What is opinion ??

I have been very lucky as I have always got on well with my in-laws, as has my husband with my parents and both sets of parents became friends. We've not always agreed on everything but, neither set of parents ever interfered with our sons upbringing and we've never really had any arguments. Like any relationship I think its a two-way process .. a bit of give and take and basic respect for each other. I think the points you make are good advice.
