I woke up this morning with a headache. I took some Tylenol and ate some breakfast cereal and had coffee. usually that helps. But I still have this horrid headache and it even hurts to chew. I ate a couple of almonds as a snack and I had to quit because my head hurt so bad when I would chew them! I just took 2 ibuprophens now. I hope this works. The only thing I can think of is that it's raining and maybe that is making my head hurt. Does this ever happen to you when it rains?

Air pressure can contribute to headaches, so I suppose it could be related to the rain. I do hope it improves for you soon. If you're able to, my best advice to you would be to go to bed and see if you can sleep it off.

Ah ... sleep. That sounds like a good idea. I think my dogs got me up too early again. I had to nap yesterday, too. The Aussie wakes me up to go out at dawn!

I always have to take a BC or other wise it will not go away. For some reason that is the only thing that helps.

maybe you should go back to bed and yes, i get pressure headaches quite a bit and take over the counter meds to help. i also find that using a herbal stick called a 'migra stick' helps a lot.

Any time the barometer drops, I get horrible migraines. Living in Florida during hurricane season is rough on me. I can usually take an Exedrin Migraine or two, bury my head in a pillow and put pressure on the bridge of my nose. Or, if you have it on hand, put 2 tsp of mustard powder in warm water and soak your feet in it. (you can probably find it a a health store) for about 10 minutes.. the myrosin helps draw the blood to your lower half.. therefore pulling the blood that's built up in your skull down to the lower half of your body. It works rather quickly for me.

You should try taking fresh lemon and cut it on half. Then take it and rub it on your forehead. That usually works for me. Also drink lot of water.

The headaches may be related to low blood sugar. If you only get them when you've gone without food all day, then the simplest thing to do is to always eat something before 3:00. You should really eat something for breakfast--doesn't have to be a lot, just a granola bar or something like that. Also, if you frequently have to skip lunch, your work may be very stressful. Tension could have a lot to do with it. And they're pretty hard to get rid of and stay with you until after you've had a good night's sleep. I think the best thing you could do is to avoid the headaches by eating lunch every day. Even if you can't do the sit down thing, eat a health bar or fruit that you can carry to work with you. Good luck.

I will take a hot bath or shower. I will take my vitamins. Drink plenty of fluids. Sometimes massaging your entire head will help. I have even drank something hot when you take the ibprofen because it disolves faster and works quicker.

I suffer from migraines as well. Sometimes the only thing that works is napping in a dark room. Also Excedrin migrain works like a charm most of the time. This might sound weird, but heat on the back of the neck sometimes does the trick.
