This is not a new book by any means. I just saw an ad for it at the top of the page and remember reading it several years ago. I read so many books that it is not easy to remember what most are about but this book is soooo good. It is called "The God Game" by Andrew M. Greeley. It is one of his funnier tales about a guy playing on the computer controlling another world... like God. The characters on the screen speak back to him. It is really very funny. I highly recommend it.
Most of AMG books are not on the funny side but they all are good. He has different series of stories, almost like different genres. Another book I recommend of his is "Contract With An Angel". That will give you a new perspective on life.
I have a lot of authors that I love and try and read all their books. AMG is just one of them. But when I saw the ad for "The God Game" at the top of the page I just had to mention it. It is a good read for anyone.

Hi patgalca! Thanks for recommending a reading material. I have been wanting to find new authors/books to read and I think I will try to get one. But I think, i will start with "Contract With An Angel", I find the title very interesting. I hope our local book store have those books of Andre Greely.
Take care and God Bless!

"Contract With An Angel" was published in 1998, "The God Game" in 1986, so don't be surprised if you don't find them in a "new" book store. You might find them in a used bookstore but better to check out the library.
I have read 25 of AMG's books.
Good luck and happy reading!

Thanks for the recommendation. If I see it at a yard sale or thrift store, I'll be sure to pick it up. (Can't afford retail.)

I thought of that, too, but I'm not in a reading mood right now. If I buy the book, then I'll have it on hand when I do feel like reading. Libraries eventually want their books back, whether they've been read or not.
