Does your cat like going in and out of doors?

I've had this problem with several cats over the years, the most recent one being a fairly old, male cat named Shadow. He was named Shadow for an obvious reason: He loves to follow people around. Recently, he developed this insanity about doors being evil when they're closed, and he always wants in a room if it's closed off.

Our cats are indoor only. Indoor doors are never closed tightly. Cats can go wherever they wish to go. One door was closed, and the cat hung onto the doorknob with her front paws until someone opened it.

hahaha your shadow definitely reminds me of my longhair boy. he has a thing about closed doors too. he refused to let us close room doors. it doesn't even matter if he is in or out. if he is in he wants out. if we let him out he'll demand to be let it within 5 min. what's with our cats and closed doors? do they reckon they are missing something? i've attached a pix of my longhair boy;p
