The best thing that I have found in cleaning up puppy urine is White Vinegar! It neutralizes the urine and kills the smell. If puppy piddles on the carpet, use a rag to mop up as much as you can, then pour a little vinegar covering the spot and use a clean rag to mop up the rest. You can even do this with urine that has dried and it will get rid of the odor and will also neutralize it so that it does not keep coming to the top of your carpet even after shampooing the carpet!

We just use water with soap suds to clean the flooring where the pup urinated to remove its foul smell.
