why can't i sleep at night?

I've found myself sleepless at nights....i don't have the urge to sleep at all,is this a bad thing? I don't watch t.v as often,an when i'm not on my laptop i can't sleep,i will only sleep either between 2:00 to 3:00 in the morning, an what i don't understand i don't really sleep during the day.Do i need to see a doctor?

Before you go to see a doctor, think about why you are not sleeping. Are you very worried or stressed out? If you could find something to help you relax before bedtime, that would help . A nice cup of hot tea, perhaps, or some over the counter medication like Sleep-Eze or even Tylenol PM might help as well.

I am not worried or stressed out... even if i was i would listen to music or s_thing. i love listening to music before i sleep but i am starting to get fed-up...i think the habit jus comes naturally

Well, if the problem is not because you can't relax enough to go to sleep I guess you are okay with little sleep

Doctors are pretty expensive and so is most of what they'd prescribe for sleep... (Ironically, most insurance companies will only let you sleep half the time - they'll only pay for 15 days of sleep medicine every month!) ...Though ME giving sleep advice is even MORE ironic....;) You might try some O-T-C Melatonin before what you want/need your bedtime to be to see if it helps. Also, see if you can figure out WHY you aren't sleeping. You might need to see a doctor if that does not help.

Me too. I often can't sleep untill 2:00 in the morning. I try everything I could to make myself sleep well, but it seems they all don't work at all. But I don't want to have sleep pills because they have side effect. I hope you will be better now with any pill.

You please forget about sleep or for your sleeplessness. The more you think about it, the more it will run away from you. You just do some reading or any work on computer, as you may feel like doing. Nothing wrong, if it takes time to you to sleep, you may be sleeping for quite a long hours in the morning. If you are able to sleep between atleast for 6 hours, you will be able to manage your affairs. If you still feel uncomfortable, if would be advisable to go to a Doctor. Do you drink coffee?? You're such an insomniac. I also sleep around that time but before I'm awake until 10am in the morning since evening. In my case, I sleep during the day that's why I'm from evening til the next day.

Maybe you have an insomnia or your stress from work. Sleep pattern will change due so much problems. Find time to relax some times and you will get you sleep at night. For now, try to adjust your sleeping pattern and If still you can't fall asleep at right time you may visit your doctor to tell your sleeping problems.
