will you charge interest to ur brother who used ur credit card?

my brother asked my help when he ges merried last yr.i give him some cash and even allowed him to used my two credit card.but since after they get married they hav a hard time to pay me back coz his wife got pregnant and just starting thier family.after a yr his wife got pregnant again. i understand that he might have thight budget and still adjusting to married life but the bank is chaging me 3.5 interest per month if im correct for those outstanding bills. would it b unsister act if i charge him 3.5percent also of his outstanding balance per month so they will be encourage to pay me at least. since he got married i only recieved 1 payment and thats just 10% of his debt

The way I look at it is, yes he is family but if those credit cards were under his name they would have to pay the interest. I would just tell them how much the monthly bill is and that is what they need to pay you monthly. I know that if it were me who owed a family member or friend money, I would not want/expect them to pay the interest on the debt incurred. I would consider any loans through family or friends my own debt.
