TECHNOLOGY gota love it :))
when first got my first microwave years ago.. Was exciting, set it all up, looked at it for a while and then id think hmmmmmm now what.. Maybe first thing i did was only heat up some water and watch it lol For quite a while id just be heating foods up, gradually trying to get a little more adventurous Suppose its same with any new technology, takes a while to get used to it.
Now.. i can not live without it, i do everything in it apart from roasting... They really save me so much time and gives me more time for here.. remembering the days of standing over a stove stirring savory mince etc.
Could you live without yours now?

Good discussion...thought I'd reply and have it brought back up to the top of the pile so more could respond to it. I was pretty much the same way when I first got my microwave. It was such a great idea to have something like that in the home. For a long time I used to try making all kinds of stuff in it, now I use it more for reheating leftovers and coffee and stuff like that. I also use it when I'm baking potatoes so that it doesn't take as long (if the dish in the oven has a shorter amt of time.) I microwave the potato for half the time called for, and then stick it in the oven to finish with whatever else is in there. I don't care for potatoes only cooked by microwaving, they just don't seem to come out the same as when I get the crunchy skin like in the oven. Still, if my micro would burn out tomorrow, I'd have to get a new one...and no, I don't think I could live without one! I also use mine to make sauces, thaw things out from the freezer, and do many other helpful things that cut down the time spent in the kitchen. It's a real handy gadget!!
