Texting phones, minute plans

My husband's cell phone contract is up at Verision and we were looking into getting a new phone. I used to be with Cingular/AT&T but we HATED them because of delayed text messages, crappy service, ect, so they are out of the running. The only thing I LOVED about them was the rollover minutes! Those suckers saved my butt from large bills on several occasions! So with the exception of Cingular/AT&T, which company do you think has the best plans? We want phones with the texting features too. This is my most important request, because I hate hitting one key over and over to get to a letter. I just want to type and be done with it. Any info would be much apperciated!! :)

I was with cellular one and then AT&T bought them out. I have to say, I have had nothing to complain about since moving to AT&T. I know that you don't like this company, but you may want to check into them and see if they have changed things since you were with them. I have never had any problems with delayed texts either.

I have a cell phone with them still. I can cancel my plan this month since the contract is up. Comparing the phones side by side, the Verision phone has more bars than AT&T. The text messages face longer delays too. I faced the problem in NC and CA, but it could still be a location issue without enough towers around.

I have alltel and love it. They have free moblie to moblie and their family circle is great. Our bill is reasonable. They have many different plans to choose from.

Hello. I would have to say Verizon. I have had them for 3 years now and love it. I have unlimited texting with my plan, 450 anytime minutes, Picture mail, voicemail, free nights and weekends, ect. And I pay 70$ a month for it. Not to bad I think. You would probably want a phone with a keyboard on it for easier texting. go to: verizonwireless.com to see the phones avalable and plans avalable. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

Like with any other cell. phone service provider, it's hard to say which one is best for everyone... I have heard some complaints about T-Mobile but it works great for me... I've heard people complain about Sprint but I also have group of friends who have Sprint service & swears by it... It all has to do with where you'll be using your phone the most... One guy told me once that the cell. phone company could have 20 million people subscribe to it, but if 7 people he talks to the most aren't on it, in a case of mobile to mobile feature, it doesn't mean much... Point here is, I think you should ask your nighbors or co-workers who live near where you live & see if there's any complaints or good things about what they have...
