I've told a few of you that I was going to start a new discussion and tell you all that happened yesterday (You'd be so proud of me!!) but I'm so emotionally and physically drained to do so right now. So put it mildly, I blew up at the hospital and damn near landed my behind in jail, that's how bad it was. I just basically got tired of their sh*t and told them ALL off in a big way that they'll not forget our names too soon. lol I just couldn't take anymore and after 2 - 3 months of hell that the two hospitals put us through, I finally blew up. However, because of that I'm still so exhausted and just don't have it in me to tell what happened right now. Maybe later on I'll tell about it but for now, know that mom is in the right place and she WILL get the dang care she needs, elderly/lived her life crap or not, she'll get the care she desparately needs. I'm not a push over but am only human and can take only so much before I explode and that I did!! LOL Mom calls me her "Rock" and says she wouldn't be where she is now if it weren't for me. (Hush mom!! LOL Just get well darn it!!

You have been on my mind. Good for you, that hospital will remember you. You needed that release, I am glad that you didn't go to jail. I will keep you and you family in my prayers. Things have to start looking up for you. Your mom is going to get better, you are going to get some much needed rest. Keep your chin up and think positive.

Yikes! I'm glad you managed to escape getting charges pressed on you. Being exhausted like that can make people do some crazy things! I think it's great that you're taking such a stand for your mom and taking such awesome care of her. She sounds like she appreciates you a lot. I hope I'll be such a great daughter when/if my mom ever gets to the point where she needs assistance. I hope you're able to get some rest and recover a more calm demeanor! I also hope that the hospital people get their heads out of their butts and stop treating you and your mom like things rather than people!

With such daughters like you around, no mom could ask for more. You are her angel in disguise and you did what was right for her, though Im still not sure what happened. You had the guts to take on the hospital and I salute you for that. Not everyone has the guts to dothat. Yes madam Rock, I hope your mum gets well soon and that she will listen to your advice in future. Actually, my mom also can be very obstinate at times, and she lives alone. Hope all mums keep well and happy. Amen

WOW, there is no one more deserving for you to be their advocate than your parent, or your child. i worked in a local hospital for 18 years. We had a patient advocate you could go to see if you were upset. sometimes the ONLY way to bring attention to a problem is to blow up. give yourself credit for having been quiet for 2-3 months. of course you are exhausted...you were pushed to the wall. i hope your mom gets much better very quickly for your actions. i'd also write a letter to that hospital's administration, board of directors, VP of nursing (if that was the issue) and explain clearly why you'd reach the end of your rope. it will help close the circle of anger.
