I need a fantastic child friendly meal to cook for tonight. I may need to go to the grocery store. Any suggestions! :)

How about cauliflower cooked in water with a little of the food colouring fluids you can easily get at the store with some cheese and ham sauce on top and some potatoes? Children love it when the cauliflower gets a blue colour of another odd colour and it doesn't add any nutritions and is not harmfull. You can also try a pasta, most kids like that and it's healthy too. Pancakes can be a real treat and are easily made. If you're going for something more chique try an oven dish with fish sticks on the bottom, green vegetables in the middle, tomato sauce on top of those and slices of potatoes to cover it up and some rasped cheese :)

Thats a fantastic idea about the cauliflower, cause we eat that alot but raw like on our dinner salads. That would be perfect cause I'm always trying to get my family to eat some kinds of veggies.

I don't know if you can colour them by sprinkling it on top, I know about colouring it by putting it in the water you boil them in but perhaps it also works in cold water and putting them in there to rinse??

tacos ? i actually just left a recipe for someone and can't copy and paste it ~~ not enough points! maybe you could use it for future dinner..i see you posted this yesterday. buy a box of au gratin potatoes. mix it up exactly like the box directions. put it in a casserole dish. make taco meat with dry mix. mix the two together and bake according to au gratin box directions. for adults i've actually added black olives and mexi-corn (drained) to it.
