Normally I eat sour fruit with salt to improve their taste as oranges, guava, water melons etc.I also like to eat bananas with some salt. Then there are vegetables which give good taste with salt as radish, tomato, cucumber.I think we should not mix up vegetables with fruit..........

Thanks for your reply.Yes,you are right water melons are always sweeter than other fruit and normally people donot use salt with it.But if you add some salt with it,it will be good for your digestion and you will not feel heaviness at all......Please try it once and you will always use it..........You have to develop a salty taste....

I seriously think that salting your fruit defeats the purpose of eating them and being healthy. Its just like ranch dressing on carrots, you might as well pick up a bag of chips or something. But that Lucas (mexican candy) fruit seasoner is really good even without fruit. It's not good for you but it's yummy!

Cucumbers a fruit? Oh, man. First tomatoes now cucumbers! LOL. Seriously, cucumber definitely has to have salt and pepper. My friends eat tomatoes with salt, but not me. As for other fruits, nah, not me unless another veggie turned fruit pops up. You should try pepper on cucumber with the salt- so good.

I use salt on fresh pineapples and green mangoes. It taste good because the sourness of the fruit is being balanced by the saltiness of salt. It also makes the fruit softer in my opinion because salt causes some of its juices to come out.

yes. i eat sour fruits with salt like raw mango, grapefruit, and carambola. also use salt in eating guava. by the way, tomatoes are not fruits. they are vegetables. on the other hand, cucumber is a technically a fruit, although it is widely considered as vegetables.
