Can a person love more than one?

in Atlas shrugged, dagny loved two guys - Galt and D'Anconia. Francisco said "but u do love me.. it's just that you wont be able to give me that (relexsation?)" so, this means u r allowed to love more than one person at the same time... what do u think Ayn Rand meant?
