Is this an anti american site? Because "grubby hands" from New Zealand, seems to want to bring in the fact that I am a soldier....and then type me the following insulting,preschoolish...comment. """"Im surprised you can think on your own, what with all those brainnumbing,yes-man creating chemicals you line up and get shot in the arm with no questions asked!Arnt you getting paid to kill so you can come back to your white picket fence.Better get back to it then before people find out you wasting their money as well! """" Why can't we all just get along???!!! :-) Hehe...Jerm

i know how u feel im eighteen with the 82nd airborne and people give us this all the time....just shake it off cause they dont know, i didnt do it because of the money that was the last deciding factor... so grubbyhands needs to get a better perspective on things before he opens his mouth

Well I don't think the soldiers are at fault - it's the people who put them there! Most of them would rather be doing what everybody else does. (Working or being at home - watching the game on the weekend and being with thier families) Politics is where all the crap starts!

I think that people forget that each war is taught from a different perspective depending on where you are. No country wants to look bad and all journalism is bias. I guess in NZ Americans aren't looked up to or grubbyhands had one of those opinionated teachers. I just remember I learned about the Civil War North of the Mason-Dixon Line and my mother learned about it South of the Mason-Dixon Line and we did not see eye to eye on that war. It opened my eyes to see that war is taught from perspective. Personally right or wrong, I think being willing to defend your country is an honorable thing. Thank you.

Jerm: Let me start out by saying (THANK YOU) for serving your country and it's people, I have 2 nephews in the service and we are very proud of them, as well I am proud of you. There are allways going to be a few unhappy people who disagree with the military. Please don't take them to heart. There are so many more of us that are proud of you and the others that put their selves on the line to protect and serve. You can't argue with people who believe they are right and you are wrong. Better left alone most of the time. (SOLDIER) is an (HONERABLE) word, Don't forget it. Like everyone else this is my opinion and everyone is entitled to one. I believe there are many more of the proud than of the disgruntled. I'm Proud of you. Hang in there!

It's funny how the uninformed lurch out at those trying to make a "real difference" in the world. Rather than just typing things and labeling themselves as making a difference. Hat's off to the American Soldier!
