Hi there. I'm shouting out to all you digital artists out there. I want to know your techniques, the programs you use, tablet, or mouse. Do you use Adobe Photoshop? Or Corel Painter? Or something else. I use Photoshop and Corel Painter, and I usually sketch an idea out on paper, scan it in and usually re draw it with my Wacom Tablet. This is a discussion for anything Digital Art-y

I just got a wacom tablet and haven't used it yet. I usually draw, scan, and then use corel painter x.What kind of things do you draw? I draw pictures to illustrate my children's booksthat I write myself. I love doing it digitally, expecially since I do not have much training in art.

Well, I'm not an 'artist', be it traditional or digital.. I just draw when I like to.. On digital, I use Adobe PhotoShop CS2 with either a mouse or a tablet (Wacom Graphire 4) - I usually just use the application for slight alterations and more on coloring work.. the application is very convenient for me in that way.. well, you can always watch the four DVDs of PhotoShop TOP Secret for more info on PhotoShop. Other applications or nice too, depends on what feature your after since some modifications can only be done with other applications so, knowing more is an advantage Have a nice day ^__^

up until recently the only decent digital art i've done were fan arts, and for that I used gimp. But now I finally found that tablet I've been giving it a go, just on paint atm but that's coz their really doodles. Though I intend on using the photoshop type programm "photoplus" and corel art dabbler that came with it. I find using the mouse so hard!

I use a program called Paint.net and I use a Wacom Bamboo tablet the tablet is amamzing and I really enjoy the ease of Paint.net I sketch out a loose arrangement in the paint program and then I mess around with effects to complete my digital art creation you can see my stuff at www.alexevansrt.deviantart.com

Hi I have seen a lot of 'Digital Art' work and I tried it once...that was about a couple of years back. I used Photoshop and Photoshop only. I used the default Photoshop filters whenever required but mostly it was all 'created'. I didn't do any 'paper work' for this and directly started with Photoshop. I made a painting of two vases kept on silky cloth. It turned out very well for the 1st attempt but unfortunately I lost that PSD and all the references to that 'art piece'. Otherwise, I could have posted it here. Thanks for reminding me :)
