I have a 2 and a half year old kid who is very good in speaking. He learns from everything that is happening around him. He has been going to a playschool for the past one month. Yesterday, I noticed that he was saying some bad words that we never use at our home.I was shocked. I enquired him about the words. I can understand that he does not even know that he should not use these words. But how to handle him when he uses foul words? How should I divert or change him?

I had a similar experience with my kid who is 4yrs old. First I used to scold him for that and he used to use foul language behind my back. So I changed my stratergy and started giving him chocalates and told him that if he stopped using foul language I would give him more. And presto his foul language is gone and even when I am not home he never uses foul language. Try it and I hope this will help you.

If you scold him or say harsh to him then he will think you as his enemy and will no hear to you. I think the best way would be be dear to him and get more dear to him when h do such activities and you should make him understand that these things are not good and you should not go for it. If you always make friendship with your child and understand his state and try to make him understand what is good or what is wrong and in this way he will be able to differenciate between good or bad in future too. This is not only the present thing you have to make him strong for the future. cheers!
