Arbonne products, should I sell them or shouldn't I?

A lady approached me about selling some products while I was demonstrating dog food. She bought some of my dog food and gave me her card and some samples. I called her later on. The company has been around for 28 years, started out in Switzerland, and the products are botanically based, not tested on animals. The samples seemed to work pretty well.
I have to be at 6 parties a month. Some will be for skin care and/or cosmetics, some will be for vitamins/herbal supplements, and some will be for food/diet kinds of things. I like the theme Mother/Daugher parties and other fun things.
It sounds interesting and fun, but I'm having trouble coming up with 10 people for my first party and I need 50 more for the rest of the month and I need 60 people a month for years. She seems to think the first 10 will generate the next 50. Most of my friends don't have money or friends or time, etc. Once I get started, I think I'll be OK, eventually, but getting started is tough.
Would you try this job? Do you have 10 people you could invite to "kick-off" your new venture? Have you tried any of the products? I'm more interested in the individual consulting than parties. Which would interest you more? Do you think theme parties are fun? Have you ever hosted parties for money or demonstrated at parties for money?
Thanks for any advice, help you can give.

Would I do it? No I don't think I would. If I had at least 10 people to start off with and some of those folks had expendable income, I think it might work if they were the type of people who had a broader base of acquaintance's to invite as well. You kind of know if this is the case I would think.
In my opinion, while thee parties are fun, I think a lot of the stuff costs too much. In this economy, I'm not sure who is willing to over spend anymore. Most of the people I work with and know are cutting back.

I'm having a hard time coming up with my first ten and supposedly at least 6 of them will come up with 10. But my reality sounds like yours, not hers. Thanks and take care.
