I took great pains with my planters this year,I have a good assortment of plants in them...and the geraniums have been gorgeous..but we have had an awful lot of rain here in the UK and has just rotted some of the flowers away!..and when you think how much they cost its a shame!...im wondering whether to just fill my pots with greenery next year, ornamental grasses or something like that..The garden centres have had some beautiful grasses there this year...Hosta s are good, but they are a three course meal for plants !!..any ideas?

We have a collection or shud I say a family here,of lovely gnomes, they are all in different poses and they all have different outfits on,we collect them.Theres a good website thats a firm thats based in Cornwall, and they do lots of funny gnomes,In the end it may be cheaper for you to get some gnomes than keep shelling out on plants that are going to rot in the bad weather here in the UK.

That sounds very sweet Ella ,ive never given much thought to gnomes, but I will have a look at the internet and see if I can see the site that you are talking about.Do you have the name of the site by any chance?it depends if they are expensive really, after forking out quite a lot of money for my bedding plants etc there isnt a lot left in the gardening fund at all now.

My partner did up some tubs and theyve bi it with the wet weather to.It has seemed this year that all that it has done is rained, where we are sick of the rain there are so many that are sick of the sun.But one year soon we will have a suprise and get a good summer.Who knows?
