I Lost My Keys - Then I Lost My Glasses

I started searching for my keys and couldn't find them anywhere. I stopped and thought about where I laid them, but, they just weren't there. Then, when I went back to look again, you guessed it, there they were, in plain sight, just where I left them. THEN - I lost my glasses! Does anyone want to take a guess where I found them? You're right. They were right where I left them - which was on my nose.......... Good Grief! Getting older is so much fun......We can hide our own Easter Eggs. Did you ever have one of those days?

I was at my mum's & wanted to phone my husband to get the washing in. I got the engaged (line busy) tone...over ...& over... & over. Knowing he is really not much of a conversationalist & had not been feeling too well i finally convinced myself that he had picked up the phone to call for help and then passed out on the floor - so I went home to find him playing happily on his laptop. He said the phone hadnt rung... I picked up the phone to check the last caller number - and, at that point, realised that, for over half an hour, I'd been dialling my mum's number from her phone - I haven't told him yet.

Gosh, that was just funny. I too am just like you. I keep putting things, especially my glasses and then keep looking for them. And the best part is I cant look for them properly because I cant see very well without my glasses. I have to rope in help from my husband or son. I also put things of importance in places where they are safe, and then they are so safe, I myself cant find them. lol. So it just shows that I too am getting old. Lets get old happily, what say ?

I say, let's just get old and be happy ketybhagat, together. I'm going to get one of those rope thingies to attach to my glasses to keep them dangling around my neck. Maybe that way, I won't loose them as often. I guess as we go along loosing stuff, we can come up with ways to help us remember where we put them. Lists, cards, red strings around our fingers, something - anything to help us remember. The most important thing is - is to remain light hearted and happy about it all. LOL

Yes, these little reminders do help and as for the rope to hang my glasses, my husband says no. He says it makes me look reeeeeeeeeeal old and that hed rather look for them. lol. There are times when I start to say something and then wham, it goes out of my mind and i wonder what I was trying to say. Does it happen to you too. Its funny.

That was funny! How long did it take you to realize it was where you just left it? The same thing happened to my mother-in-law. She was starting to get irritated, looking for her glasses everywhere. It took her 10 minutes to find them at last, when my husband asked her what she was looking for?!She was already a little annoyed when she said, she lost her glasses. And then, my husband calmy told her, that the glasses are resting on her head. I had my moment, too. But it was my house keys. I looked everywhere for them and after almost giving up on ever finding them, I accidentally looked at the front door, and there were my keys!Still inside the keyhole!

Well, liulin, I honestly hope you never do, but I'm afraid it's just a part of getting older.....sometimes, we just have a senior moment and we have to learn how to laugh about it.

I am 38 years old and I lose and forget things all the time. Just today, I walked out of my apartment thinking about my keys and forgot them. I have so much on my mind lately that I have even been forgetting the days of the week, LOL.

I have had things like that happen and later it pops up. Right where they were left, then sometimes you have to search for them. In the chair, under the table or night stand, under the bed. At least you found them. Don't feel bad about were you found your glasses. It happens to everyone, every now and then.

LOL, yes I have them quite regularly. I even bought some Ginko Biloba to help improve my memory but I keep forgetting to take it. I've also *lost* my cell phone and realized that I was talking on it. Do you walk into a room and forget why you're there so you start looking around for clues?

It's true. It's true. I DO walk into rooms and have to stop and say to myself, "Now, what did I come in here for"? LOLOLOL I have to try to retrace my steps to see what I was doing before I started the journey into 'the other room'....lololol Thank goodness I have my husband passing out the Ginko.....at least he's still remembering what they're for...Good Grief....

Sounds like you are having a good day..lol... Truth of the matter is, I think that has happened to most of us at one time or another. I di dthat with my sunglasses one day andbecause they were expensive I panicked when I couldn't find them and then my friend started laughing and saying calm down, and you will find them, after taking his advice I realized they were on my head the whole time.

i am always losing my remote control. and then after about 30 minutes of looking in every room in the house even though i know it is not in there i always find it where it is supposed to be or in the same spot that i looked at before. maybe my problem is is that i just look to fast and i end up looking over a spot i have already been.

on the subject of forgetting where you left something. my sister had been talking to the neighbors at their house and then walked home. they live right next door to us. our neighbor called up and asked my sister, aren't you forgetting something. my sister didn't know what he was talking about. he said you left your car in our driveway. my sister had been driving home from errands and drove into the next door neighbor's yard. after talking she was so accustomed to walking over there, she forgot she had the car there.

Yeah, you are a positive man.I maybe angry after searching for that things. But if I can face them with smile,my life will be more interesting. With more laugters, I think I can treat a problem in different ways.So I think I'll be a happy girl then.At that time, such things are not marks that tell me the flying time, instead,I will have more jokes to share with my friends. By the way,I think your smile will give you good luck and it will cheat us in your age, yong man! I am King-Lion,a girl of 18 years old.
