Possible Tornado Damage

Well we here in Minnesota just went through and still are going through some severe weather. My daughter called me a little wjile ago. Her and my grandsons are holed up in their basement due to these storms. There was a tornado warning issued for her area. She said she needs help cleaning up. A lot of branches in her yard. her large trampoline is in the neighbors yard. her house windows were leaking. So I am heading out for the 45 mile drive to help clean her yard etc some very soon. The winds were clocked between 45 mph and 70 mph in her area. So it may have been just straight line winds or even possibly a tornado. Take care all and hope your weather is much better than here. My goodness Grandpa Bob you take care. Poor Minnie, she really doesn't need this kind of stress in her life right now either. I am so afraid of tornados. Our weather here is very wet lots of rain storms but no tornado. I'd be scared spitless if it were me. There is nothing worse than being frightened. I am saying prayers for Minnie and her family and for your safe return home Bob. I know you will but Please let us know.

She ran with the youngest boy to the basement. That's where she called me from. She and he were both a tad scared but they are all fine now. Thanks.

Oh my, I do hope things are fine with Minnie and the boys. Today is a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. We have also had some hellacious storms coming thru the last few days. Some of them have been scary they have been so strong. We have also had tornado warnings too. I have been lucky so far, knock wood.

Oh gosh I am sorry to hear that your weather is bad and I hope that it all passes soon, and just be careful when you are driving. Hope your daughter and her family are all OK too.

It passed fairly quickly and things are good as far
as the house and them all. Tree damagae was all.

Wow, I thought tornado season would be over by now but its still going strong. I saw on the news this morning that there was a big storm front and tornadoes up there. We had some storms here yesterday and a flash flood warning, plus some strong winds but thankfully no tornado.

Wow, that was quite strong since the windows were leaking and I hope not a big damage except that one..We have a clowdy sky today and been blowing a very cold wind but no warning of anything so far!

AT least it was just branches in the yard. Thank God that it was not worse. I was watching the weather channel and they were talking about the storms that they were watching around your area that were bad. That is good to know that it was not to bad. When a storm can turn into a tornado they are nothing to play with. I notice that they have been alot of them this year. More than normal. We are expecting rain here on the east coast. It hasn't rained yet. But it should rain before the day is over.

hi Grandpa Bob I am glad nobody was hurt in that wind storm, had me going for a bit, with her being pregnantand all.odd weather and here we are again hot, hot and hot no breeze and no humidity, guess thats good though,but what scares me is
this kind of weather goes with the jigglers, like earthquakes, we have not had any for years. Had never thought about zMinnesota being in hurrican alley but yes it has to be as does the two dakotas too. just hot here and it makes me so sleepy. lol.

Grandpa Bob, I used to live in Minnesota and know that tornado season is nothing to laugh at. I am glad that your daughter is okay and that it's just a few minor things that were blowing around. Our weather here in Colorado isn't so bad...just hot. But I hope tornado season ends very soon out in Minnesota. I have tons of family up there and worry about all of them at this time of year. Your daughter is lucky to have you around to help her out with the cleaning up process. Thanks for the post :D

This minor thing blowing around was a full sized round trampoline. No damage to her house. The yards a mess with twigs and ;leaves now. I got it cleaned up some what. Stacked all the large tree branches in one area and other with smaller branches and twigs etc. Thanks bunches.

Hi my friend,
I know how bad severe weather can be. We live in Central Illinois and have tornadoes, thunderstorms and high winds all the time in spring, summer and fall. We have seemed to have more bad weather this spring and summer than usual. We have a lot of trees and always seem to get a lot of tree limbs down in our yard. Be careful and don't hurt yourself cleaning your daughter's yard :D

Things like that happen a lot here in Missouri. I wish you and your daughter the best as you clean up. Just be sure to be careful if the weather is still nasty, Tornados are nothing to laugh at. We had straight line winds here earlier this year and there were some buildings that had their roofs torn off.

Have a safe trip. It is so good that you live close enough so you can go and help your daughter out like that when she needs you. Tornado or no tornado it sounds like it was pretty bad to do that damage.
It is partly cloudy, windy and hot where I live.

I hope that you found it much less damage than first thought. Sounds like some horrific winds! We'll be having a weekend of severe weather here in south central Ohio but I doubt we have anything like that.
Hope you didn't find much work to do! As you can tell, I'm very late catching up with my friends' discussions!
