Daily Routines - Every Day The Same Old Thing

I live a very structured lifestyle. I usually know what to expect of the day each and every morning. I have a normal routine and rarely deviate from that routine. I have days scheduled to clean, times to post, times that I know or for me and regular expectations out of each and every day. I wouldn't say my life is boring, although I'm sure those who don't know me might say it is. Come spend a day with me and I'll show you that my life is far from boring. I stay quite active and feel like there is always one more thing to do. Don't get me wrong, there are days, I choose not to do anything. While that's not a part of my daily routine, sometimes I find myself in a position where I can afford to do nothing. Do you have daily routines. Do you find yourself doing the same old things, day in and day out? If you could change your routines, what else would you be doing if you weren't doing the 'same old things'? Do you find your life boring? If so, how can you change it? Do you want to change it?

I would say that my life is pretty boring for the most part. Lots of work and not much play. I don't mind it though. I would rather stay in and watch movies then go out. I can watch a movie and eat popcorn on my own couch in comfy clothes for less money than going to a movie. But my days are routine, wake up, take the dogs out, feed them, water them, clean the cat box, shower, get ready for work, work...LOL Yea it's boring.

I have some what of a daily routine. But if I allow my day to become to structured, I become restless and bored. So I will rotate all day long. During the times when I do not have to be doing anything important, I will get online(including Mylot) and do things. Then I will read a little, talk on the phone, visit with people. When someone comes to visit, as long as I am not too busy, I will stop what I am doing and spend time with them. I just like to keep going. I always want to spend my time wisely.

Your 'routine' sounds much like mine Rozie. While I'm structure - for the most part - I remain flexible. Spending time wisely is most important.

Some things in my life are routine, but even those are flexible. I know every morning my son will wake me up, but the times vary. I know he will nap every day, and that is my time to check email, write, post, shower, or do whatever else is difficult with him awake. But I never know just what time he will nap or for how long. Usually it's at least an hour, so I can count on that, but it could be as early as 11:30 or as late as 1 when he lays down, depending on how late he slept in the morning and how busy we are. I have other routines that are equally flexible, and many things that are not structured at all. Flexibility is necessary when you have small children.

I think it's good to be so flexible Silly.....I understand the need of being flexible - 'specially with small children.
