Do you ever get dinner ideas from other myLotters?

I had no clue what I was going to make for dinner tonight until I read someone else's discussion about dinner tonight. One of the responses sounded really good to me and my son loved the idea too. I have to go to the store in a little bit and get some pull ups for my daughter anyway, so while I am out I am going to get the stuff to make Pizza Pasta. Thanks for the idea. You know who you are(since we are not supposed to use other myLot members names in our posts).

Oh absolutely!!! At least twice that I can remember. I like when we talk about cooking this, that or the other thing because it is a sharing of ideas (which is why I often ask people what they're making - you never know what will work for you). If we can share other ideas, why not what to make for dinner??? I'm already hungry!!

I did not see the other post
so I'd have to guess as to how
to make it.
But I'm pretty good at figuring
out recipes all by myself.

I sure have. Many times I have been reading through a recipe discussion and actually gotten hungry for something I read about. Two or three times I have actually made it for dinner that night.
Sometimes I get in a rut about what I cook for dinner. I like that myLot helps break me out of my box sometimes.

Yes, it has inspired me to cook different things. Sometimes it makes me remember to make things I hadn't thought of making in years. And sometimes it helps to get me out of a cooking rut. It is inspirational to hear other peoples ideas and thoughts.

Oh yeah, sure. Sometimes you just need a few hints. I have gotten some nice ideas for food here. Pizza pasta sounds good. Hope it tasted as good as it sounds.

Slightly, but not completely. Someone today mentioned having burger with broccoli with shredded cheese. As I do not like broccoli I cut it down to burger and cheese and that inspired me what to have with the burger I was planning to have tonight, so I am now having this thing we have in the fridge (cheese in bread crumbs) with some salad. So the mention of cheese inspired me, but I did not copy the idea.
