How many working-professional adults keep their piercings?Or,dose everyone take them out eventually? I have piercings, will i be forced to take them out?I love my piercings and sure would not want to. Your thoughts...

Hmmm, I'm not so sure I've ever heard anyone say that before. It depends on who it is, I would imagine that the older generation are a little less acceptable of it as the newer generation gets older. I only have my ears gauged. I used to have a few facial piercing but they all fell out, I swallowed my labret a couple times I finally gave up on that, my eyebrow on fell out while I was swimming I got it re-pierced later then it started just getting a little irritating after a while. Then I had my bridge pierced for all of a few hours when it fell out while I was sleeping. I guess they're just too much of a hassle. I guess these days it really depends on what your doing as a professional, many places you'll work at are more accepting with the new generation, they allow certain piercings to be visible while other the feel or inappropriate to have, then there employers that don't allow any other than your ears and possibly a tasteful stud in your nose. These are mainly professions where they deal with costumers daily, it's more of an appearance issue for them. My job it doesn't really matter what the heck you have on your face, because we don't deal with costumers personally. But I don't see them as immature, it's not called body art for nothing. It's how people choose to express themselves, but if you want a job, and it doesn't allow it, yet you'd choose to keep them in than get the job, that would be immature.

I think the general idea is that self-mutilation is not a good sign of someone who thinks things out long-term, or makes good life choices. I'm not saying I agree with this one way or the other, but that's the general gist of it.
