world peace!!!! an impossible dream?

I would like to think it will happen but do not expect that it will in my lifetime. Maybe in my son's lifetime (he is now 30) but somehow think it will take a lot longer than that. There are some people who are still arguing over land and other issues that happened 1000 or more years ago, so to expect peace anytime soon is probably asking a bit too much unfortunately.

I think people will stop fighting when they will have a new common enemy, or after having produced a large damage: European nations reached peace after the nazi and atomic bomb disasters, and recently they found a new enemy in the terrorism. In the future there will be even more reasons to fight: oil, water, globalisation of cultures.

not being pessimistic here, just pragmatic. nope, don't think world peace is possible.

yy nt... i cud happen..... n 1 day it will.... "optimistic views" This is impossible becoz this is human nature "me first" so world peace can't work wid me first attitude and we can't eliminate this of human characterstic. Nowadays every religion and every nation is working on me first attitude...... no one wants to serve others....

It is possible. But it is only going manifest when people stop talking about it and start actively doing something about it...

There has been fighting somewhere in the world since almost the beginning of time. People have been able to conquer a lot of things over the milleniums, but no one has ever come up with a way to stop war, and I don't think they ever will. Too many people just have to be fighting with someone! You'd have to change to basic nature of people in order to have world peace.

world peace why not possible It is up to every individual to think and act. I Am optimistic.And I believe world peace happense.

its an impossible dream. coz everyman have different nature.every nation have different interests.with a unipolar world u cant even think of peace.if it wud b possible then v must had attained it in this modern world
