I am still receiving emails like this on an off. Be very aware! The link in the email is not the same as the one that it is hiding behind! Be very very aware! I am so sick and tired of these people. If only there is a way to catch them all!!!

You've tried forwarding it on to spoof@e-gold.com, right? So they can investigate? That seems a pretty good way to help catch them to me.

Yep... double checking on the links that are provided in emails is very important. Being vigilant is the way to prevent online theft. I hope every one is practicing such habits. Lamenting after the money is stolen would be too late. Better to prevent it than to go thru the heart ache and the pain of losing to these cons!

Thanks for your warning. Actually I don't have an E-gold account. But I often receive emails from fake Paypal. Since that I become to be very careful to it. I love China

Well, it never hurts to be vigilant. I too receive quite a few fake paypals ones as well. But not any of late. I guess it is easier for the scammers to target e-gold? I dunno. *shrugs*

this is getting very scary. the internet is supposed to make our life better. but now we have to be so wary about everything. first there are sites are sends you virus. then comes these phishing emails. there are times when i am diligent and report every single phishing emails to my email server. but other times i just choose to delete them. we should all start reporting all these emails. maybe that'll spur the authorities into doing something.
