Yep... double checking on the links that are provided in emails is very important.
Being vigilant is the way to prevent online theft.
I hope every one is practicing such habits.
Lamenting after the money is stolen would be too late.
Better to prevent it than to go thru the heart ache and the pain of losing to these cons!

egold is not the only those scammer targeting,i have received fake email with paypal and ebay too.when i checked the link,they sure redirect to a phishing page,usually free hosting,beware,beware!

this is getting very scary. the internet is supposed to make our life better. but now we have to be so wary about everything. first there are sites are sends you virus. then comes these phishing emails. there are times when i am diligent and report every single phishing emails to my email server. but other times i just choose to delete them. we should all start reporting all these emails. maybe that'll spur the authorities into doing something.
