Thunderstorms scary or awesome?

It has been storming here all day. I don't mind the storms but it just boomed so loud I jumped a foot out of my chair and screamed. I have to laugh at myself. The lighting hit the tree in the yard and knocked a big limb off. Now I am getting the hebejeebees being here all by myself. Do you like Strom's? Are you big baby and hate them?

Awesome! Surprising, nothing about nature scares me. I am a real Pagan that way. It is all so awesome. A flash of lightening brought down a big tree in my garden too. After that, my mother is really terrified of thunderstorms. But, surprisingly, I am not terrified of them at all. Rather, I like it when there is a storm.

Nopes, you are not being rude. I am no expert on Paganism myself. But, I do know I am a pagan at heart. Basically, a pagan is a nature worshiper. He/she sees the divine in nature--in the skies, the waterfalls, the rivers, the sunsets, in animals, children, and so on and so forth. Paganism is flexible. You can choose your own God from the wide variety of gods in various pantheons of the world. I feel a strong affinity to the Earth goddess. She is the only thing divine I can really see and feel.
For example, Hinduism comes under the umbrella of Paganism. So does Wicca. There is a section on Paganism in Mylot. I have started a couple of discussions there. If you visit my profile, you could check them out.

I find thunderstorms both awesome and scary. The thunder and lightning do scare me when it is really bad, but the lightning can also be very beautiful. I love it when it's that purplish color, oh it is so beautiful.

I don't like them that's for sure... However I'm not a baby when it comes to them... My son is though.. He don't like the sounds of the lightening strikes or the thunder... I was told that is the angels playing in heaven.. When I was growing up anyway.. However that didn't work to well for my son... He just jumps in bed and covers his head or he'll just come by me and hold tight until it's over with.. lol

My boys use to hide under the covers but they have out grown that now. It would be pretty funny if the still did that since they are in there teens now.

I hate that when it storms and the TV does not come in. I had that problem with my internet the other day and I got frustrated because I was trying to get my school work done and could not finish it because the net was down.

i kind of like thunderstorms if i am trying to sleep or something like that but other than that i don't really like them because where i live there are some really bad thunderstorms sometimes and we have to unplug everything because its really bad about lighting hitting things that are plugged up and then we have to go and buy the new things and that cost a lot of money, so on one hand i like them but on the other hand i don't really like them.

A storm fried my PC once. It does get expensive replacing things like that.

I don't like big storms. I think this is because I live in tornado Alley, so its not the actual storm that scares me. I just have this fear that my power will go out and then I wont know a tornado is coming. Or else that I wont be able to hear the sirens. I guess I have just heard too many horror stories, since my house has never been hit by a tornado.

Storms are bad when they wipe out your whole life. I have never had that happen. I have had my house burn down and it was no fun starting over.

There is nothing more peaceful than a good spring or summer storm .
I love sitting on my porch and watching the sky light up . There are times if they are bad enough I will be a little scared , but for the most part I really do enjoy them .

I love storms, I especially like them late at night when I am trying to sleep. Don't know why but maybe it is the sound of the rain that puts me to sleep. I have never been scared of them but my mom and sister are terribly afraid of them. I don't like sitting out in the rain but I like sitting on the porch watching the lightning and listening to the thunder.
