Do womens' bodies align when they live together?

I read in a cartoon that women who live together frequently have their periods "align" or all happen at the same time of month. This was not the case with my sisters and I, so I was wondering if it is a myth or if it sometimes is true.

yes i think its true me n my sis and some of my roommates that ive had n the past have had ours close together or if 1 of us was starting they other would b going off hers and vice versa....i think it also depends on the ppl to u kno...
