Should a guy have to pay more to get his lawn mowed if there is dog poo in the yard? Why do you think so? I would like to hear some others opinions on this.

I had to think a bit on this one, but what I came up with is this. A guy should have to mow his own lawn if the dog whose poo in his yard came from his dog, but if it came from somebody else's dog, then obviously that dog's owner is the one who should have to pay. But if the poo came from feral dogs running around the neighborhood, then what? In any case, if I had a lawn I would also have a fence.

are you talking about being charged more from a service company? ppl/person/company who come and mow your lawn for you each week or month? if that is what you are talking about then yes, being charged a BIT more for the mowing due to dog crap that they would either have to pick up themselves or have splattered everywhere, including on them...charging more is perfectly resonable.

have you ever mowed or used the weed eater only to have it splattered all over you? I have and the smell is awful. I absolutely agree that you should have to pay more. Having said this there is another option clean up the poo before your mowing is to be done.

There are companies that clean the poop out of your yard. LOL I always wondered how much they charge.

I feel that is someone has to take the time to pooper scooper dog doo out of a yard then yeah they deserve more for it. I think it owuld be picked up or it would be scattered allover which possibly not good for grass. So if the owner can't keep it cleaner from the poo then they should be charged more..nothing worse then stepping in that..yuck

No ! its not like they are going to stick their hand in it...lol..I have a dog and she poops in my yard..I just mow my grass and don't think about dog doo...Unles it is piled so high the lawn mower cannot go over it...I see no reason to get more unless they have big piles of it and have to pick it up...........

If it is his own animal making the messes I would charge more. He could keep a designated area for dog messes. If it is other peoples dogs messing in his yard then I am not sure I would feel right charging him more for other peoples inconsiderate behavior. I am sure it is not a pleasant experience running into dog piles and I would have to assume you need to clean your equipment afterwards so it doesn't contaminate someone else's lawn. That is extra time for you and you should charge for it.
